Six More Weeks of Winter? Let’s Make Them Easier.
So apparently Punxsutawney Phil says we’ve got six more weeks of winter. 🙄
And instead of groaning (okay, maybe after groaning), I decided to flip the perspective a bit.
Because winter can feel long — especially for moms. The routines feel heavier, the days feel shorter, and it’s easy to put yourself on hold until spring finally shows up.
That’s why I put together a Winter Bucket List for Moms — and before you picture an overwhelming checklist, let me stop you right there.
This is not a “do all the things” list.
It’s a pick one or two kind of list.
The goal isn’t productivity.
It’s making winter feel a little lighter, cozier, and more doable.
A Few Ideas from the Winter Bucket List
Here are a few simple, realistic ideas from the list — nothing fancy, nothing overwhelming:
- Take a short walk on a sunny day (even if it’s cold)
- Do one small beauty reset that makes you feel a little more put together
- Read or listen to something just for you
- Plan one cozy night in — no agenda, no pressure
- Try one simple comfort recipe your whole family will actually eat
That’s it. No pressure to do everything. No timeline. No gold stars required.
Even One Thing Counts
This season doesn’t need to be “optimized.”
It doesn’t need to be busy or productive or Instagram-worthy.
Honestly? Even one intentional thing counts.
One walk.
One quiet moment.
One small reset that reminds you you’re still in there, even in the middle of winter.
If winter feels long right now, let this be your reminder:
You’re allowed to care for yourself inside the season — not just once it’s over.
👉 You can save this post, screenshot the list, print it out, or come back to it whenever you need a little reset.
