There’s a point every May where everything just… piles up.

The backpacks.
The papers.
The last-minute events.
The “don’t forget” emails that somehow keep multiplying.

That’s when it hit me that we’re officially in end-of-school survival mode.

Not the “let’s get organized and get ahead” kind of season.
The “we’re doing the best we can and that’s enough” kind.

And if that’s where you are too, here are a few things that are actually helping me right now:

1. I lowered the bar (a lot)

This is not the season for extra pressure.

Dinners are simpler.
Laundry waits a little longer.
Not everything needs to be perfect right now.

2. I pick one small reset each day

Not a full routine. Not a whole plan.

Just one thing.

Sometimes it’s sitting with my caffeine before anyone talks to me.
Sometimes it’s throwing on a quick set of nails so I feel a little more put together.
Sometimes it’s a quiet minute in the car before I go inside.

It doesn’t have to be big to make a difference.

3. I stopped trying to remember everything

If it’s not written down, it doesn’t exist.

Whether it’s a planner, a shared calendar, or a running list—
getting things out of your head helps more than you think.

4. I let myself say no

Not everything needs a yes right now.

Protecting your time and energy matters—especially in a season like this.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, behind, or just stretched thin…

You’re not doing anything wrong.
This time of year is just a lot.

So instead of trying to keep up with everything,
focus on what actually helps you get through the day feeling a little more like yourself.

That’s enough.
