We’ve covered the importance of planning some time for you – but now let’s dive into something just as crucial: setting boundaries around that time. It’s easy to plan a self-care session, but keeping it uninterrupted? That’s where boundaries come in!
First, think about where your “mom time” will happen. Maybe it’s a cozy corner with your favorite book, a quiet spot for your skincare routine, or even a planned hour for catching up on your shows. Whatever it is, mark it as your space. And make it clear to the rest of the family that this is sacred “mom’s alone time.” If you need to add it to the family calendar, do it!
Then, set boundaries with yourself. No checking emails, no scrolling through to-do lists. Give yourself permission to fully relax.
This is my space. 👇 If I’m in this chair (especially with a book), then my family knows not to come to me unless it’s an emergency. Also, if the door is closed to my bedroom, no kids allowed. 🙅♀️

Boundaries aren’t about being rigid—they’re about showing up for yourself so you can show up for everyone else refreshed. Give it a try this week and see how just a little protected “me time” makes a big difference.
