Summer is not the season when I want to spend a lot of time getting ready.
Between the heat, pool days, vacations, sports, and keeping up with my kids, I want my routine to be simple and low-maintenance.
Here’s what I’m actually doing this summer.
Keep My Nails Done
This is probably the biggest one for me.
When my nails are done, I feel put together even when I’m wearing a tank top, messy bun, and running shoes.
The best part is that I don’t have to think about them again for days.
Hydrate My Hands and Cuticles
Summer activities can be surprisingly hard on your hands.
Between swimming, sunscreen, gardening, and washing up after outdoor fun, my hands can get dry quickly.
Before bed, I like to apply my restorative nail and cuticle cream and hand lotion to keep everything hydrated.
Don’t Forget My Lips
Long days in the sun can take a toll on my lips.
A hydrating lip oil or tinted lip balm is usually all I need for a little moisture and a little color during the day.
At night I stick with my overnight lip treatment.

Keep Makeup Simple
Most days I’m not doing a full face.
If I am doing my makeup, I keep it simple:
That’s it.
I want products that can handle sweat, humidity, and busy days without needing constant touch-ups.
Remember That Simple Is Enough
Summer is meant to be enjoyed.
Your beauty routine doesn’t need ten steps to help you feel good.
A little nail care, hydrated lips, and a few easy makeup staples can go a long way.
Sometimes the best routine is the one you’ll actually stick with.
